PARK BO GUM's final stop of his Asia Tour Fan Meeting - Singapore.

I'm so very glad that I had the opportunity to meet this awesome actor in person. Following him since Love in the Moonlight, watching the various Behind The Scenes (BTS), interviews, variety clips, there was really nothing not to love about this person (plus point: he's a 93-liner, massive support right there). After the awesome fan meet yesterday, I re-affirmed those beliefs that he is no doubt a genuine person filled with warmth for everyone. πŸ’—

The Asia Tour started off with a video collage of him in photoshoots & BTS of Love in the Moonlight which really created the hype. The entire fan meet was designed like a story session with PBG, with 5 chapters to fill the night with fun and games.

Danny Yeo (emcee) and PBG started off the night explaining the concept of the fan meet highlighting the little details which PBG had thought about for his Singapore leg of the tour such as the mini Merlion and Marina Bay Sands that was in the backdrop display as well as the title of the tour Oh Happy Day~ prompting them to sing a little - because its actually the title of a song.

Chapter 1: Happy Bo Gum allowed us to get to know PBG a little better through Fan-submitted questions... some of the questions posted were: what is one thing that you can't leave the house without? to which he answered "wallet, cell phone..." but he mentioned that there are times that he would leave them behind as well, so there really isn't anything that he must be with when he leaves the house. He then added on saying that if there is one thing that he must leave the house with, rather than a physical item, it would be a positive mindset.

Other questions included if he dances at home when there's music and what he does on an airplane besides sleeping. The former prompted Danny to talk about PBG's signature Bombastic Dance Moves and made the spontaneous request for him to dance for us to which PBG led the audience to a quick Bombastic dance tutorial class so we could all dance together with him πŸ˜†. While on an airplane, besides sleeping, PBG would watch movies (he watched a french movie en route from Seoul to Singapore), read his script and eat.

We also got to see some pictures that PBG prepared from his trip to LA and what he did in Singapore before the Fan Meet - visiting the mini merlion and trying out the G-Max Reverse Bungy. He said that he went twice on the ride and on one of the rides, he had to trigger the release on his own and that it was quite scary.

Following the questions, came the pre-meet selected fan requests. The first request was for PBG to write a message on a piece of paper, fold it into a paper airplane and fly it out like the scene in "Love in the Moonlight EP 1". The lucky fan who requested it had the airplane addressed and flown to her, but being the sweet guy that he is, PBG prepared a few additional ones to fly it to others at random.

The second & third request were for him to play the piano and sing "Happy Birthday Song" and "Don't worry, dear" from Reply 1988 OST.

Chapter 2: Happy Gallery began by featuring the top three best scenes voted by the fans for both "Reply 1988" and "Love in the Moonlight". Of course there were the kissing scenes from both dramas but they conveniently cut it at the peak of the moment (hahaha!). After showing PBG the scenes which the fans had picked, we were shown PBG's personal favourite scene from the two dramas. For "Reply 1988", PBG chose the scene which he was not a part of - the scene where the two brothers were wishing upon the shooting star, hoping the younger brother would be able do what he wants. For "Love in the Moonlight", he picked the scene where Ra-on was bad-mouthing the crown prince in front of Lee Young & Byung Yeon while drinking as he felt that it showed the close friendship they have during filming.

Chapter 3: Happy Romance - this segment had me squeal the most.. because 5 lucky fans got to get up close and personal with him through re-enacting 5 scenes from the dramas (and they all got to keep a polaroid copy of the romantic moment!!!).

The other scenes included "keeping you warm in my jacket (reply 1988)", "touching your face (moonlight)", "feeding you" & "looking into your eyes"... πŸŽ” no. my heart didn't take this well. hahah.

Following that was a mini break playing the VCR of congratulatory messages from PBG celebrity friends (some included Lee Kwang Soo, BTS & Song Joong Ki). After the clip, PBG reappeared in the audience stalls to get close to the fans while singing "Singapura, oh Singapura" which brings us right into Chapter 4: Happy Dinner where Danny introduced PBG to Roti Prata and the two types of Hawker-style Fried Carrot Cake. PBG loved the curry so much, he was dipping the carrot cake into the curry. LOL.

After having some food himself (and feeding the people around him - Danny & the Camera lady), the PBG food preparation show began as he introduced Yubuchobap to the fans by showing us how to make it ourselves. Of course, the food prepared became an on-stage dinner with one lucky fan! 😍

We then moved into the Special Chapter for the night (which some fans were obviously waiting for): Song Joong Ki. Appearing as a special guest for the third time throughout PBG's Asia tour, we got to witness the brotherhood between the two throughout the games they played.

With the main theme to complete a bingo board, the pair started off with a game of Telepathy where the two were given 10 pairs of words, for each pair, they had to shout out their choice at the same time. For instance, the final pairing was between Flower/Tree, and they both selected flower, prompting Bo Gum to say that the choice had to be flower because they are the bosom brothers.

The other games included a shooting game where Bo Gum had to use a toy bow&arrow while Joong Ki used a toy gun as that was what they used in their respective dramas (Descendants of the Sun & Love in the Moonlight), making a chicken figurine with clay (as it is PBG's year of the rooster) and a Bounce, Spin, Catch Ball game (with 4 lucky fans, 2 on each team).

Fun times sure pass quickly as by the end of the games, it was about time to say farewell to both artistes. PBG ended the night by reading a letter which he had wrote to us fans and sang a short medley of songs! πŸŽ”

We all got to keep a postcard-sized version of the letter from Park Bo Gum. Keepsake!
Thank you, Park Bo Gum, & A big thank you to the organisers who worked hard to make this event a success as well as the fan club for coordinating and providing the items for the fan task/event.

Ending off with a quote from Park Bo Gum, "You only live once,  I hope both you & I continue to keep in mind that every choice we make define our lives and make everyday a happy day" (credits to Arch_Angeli Twitter)
